Dr. Svetlana Belić Malinić

Our school's Principal, Dr. Svetlana Belić Malinić, has long experience working as a teacher and as an educational project leader. Having graduated English Language and Literature from the University of Belgrade, Svetlana continued developing professionally at the University of Cambridge. She gained her Masters degree on Educational and Social Research at the University of London, whereas she merged her knowledge and experience into a doctoral thesis on International Education at the University of Leicester. Svetlana is a Programme Leader for Cambridge International Professional Development Qualifications and a member of Cambridge Assessment Specialists Team.

Svetlana has been awarded International House John Haycraft scholarship for classroom exploration, and in 2014 she came off a finalist for the global award "21st Century Teacher of the Year" for the use of technology in teaching and learning, presented annually by Pearson, one of the most influential educational institution in the world. Having been commended for her great professional success, Svetlana has received the title of Alumni Ambassador awarded by the University of London. Svetlana is also certified Google Educator, the title which she deserved because of her innovative approach to education.

Contemporary in any sense of the word, our school offers functional knowledge and quality preparation for tertiary education in Serbia and abroad. Implementing modern and creative teaching in the classroom, where the teachers’ pedagogy and students’ performance are aligned with the highest academic standards for the high-school finals, our school develops linguistic, mathematical, scientific, artistic, cultural, technical and ICT competence, which is a prerequisite for further education and professional development. Teaching is supported by the interactive whiteboards and educational software, whereas practice exercises research and critical thinking.
