Petnica Science Centre is one of the leading institutions fostering talents and knowledge of students, and the students from Savremena Gimnazija and International School Savremena will have the honour to become a part of this project.

As many as eight students – Milica Petronijević, Jovana Jocić, Lucija Drakulović, Ivona Rambosek, Sofija Škaro, Ivan Filip Kovačević, Aleksandar Mara and Vojin Trivanović – owing to their knowledge, academic success, and wide range of interests and talents, succeeded in becoming participants at the winter seminar of the Petnica Science Centre.

A long tradition of supporting young talents

Petnica Science Centre was founded in 1982 on the initiative of a group of young researchers, teachers and students who were unsatisfied with the educational practices of that time, but also with the way in which groups of young scientists were formed. Very quickly, it became the centre of innovative scientific education and talent support, and its reputation is acknowledged throughout Europe.

During more than three decades of its operation and development, Petnica has successfully organised over 3500 courses, camps and seminars with more than 50000 young participants, and this figure will go even higher in 2018, with Savremena’s students joining the group of promising young scientists.

Versatile programmes for both students and teachers

Petnica offers professional development opportunities to primary and secondary school students, university students and teachers.

The eight elected Savremena’s students will have an opportunity to attend a very intensive programme of lectures, discussions and practice during the winter seminar.
