Savremena’s student Natalija Stanković won second place at the “Save the resources, don’t litter, recycle!” competition for students aged 15 to 18 within the international “Young Reporters for the Environment” programme.

Recycling is our future – feature as a wake-up call

“In Serbia, 15% of waste is recycled, compared to as much as 80% in EU countries” – this is how Savremena’s Year 10 student began her eco-feature.

Natalija Stanković won second place at the “Save the resources, don’t litter, recycle!” ISS

With her interesting and creative feature, Natalija drew attention to the importance of recycling in the process of planet preservation. She contributed to the fight for a healthy environment with her video “Recycling is our future”, proving that Savremena fosters and raises awareness about environmental issues.

This award is even more important to our student, as she managed to beat a very tough competition comprising more than 140 students. Nevertheless, the greatest joy for the young eco-reporter is the fact that her message will be heard worldwide.

Take a look at Natalija’s report:

Meeting of young eco-reporters

The best eco-reporters will receive their awards at the 13th Regional Conference “Environment towards Europe – EnE17” on Monday, 5 June in Belgrade. This will be a great opportunity for Natalija to exchange her experiences and impressions with other young eco-reporters and make new friends.

We congratulate Natalija and wish that her “eco-voice” be clearly and loudly heard in the future as well!
