School stories

This week, Savremena’s Year 10 students conducted an empirical investigation in their physics lesson!

ISS Fizika Slajfna

They learnt about the behaviour of elastic springs. Hooke’s law describes how the spring will extend based on the force that acts on it and its so-called spring constant. The students were tasked with finding the spring constant of various springs by using a variety of weights and measuring how much the springs extend.

Two teams of students reached similar results. They had a fun lesson and cultivated the spirit of teamwork through sharing results and helping each other with measurements.

International School Savremena’s students learnt about the scientific method and representation of results. After the practical lesson they showed a much better understanding of the new physics law they learnt.
