‘The Challenges of the Digital Age’: An inspiring lecture at Savremena

The students of International School Savremena had a unique chance to listen to an inspirational lecture by professor Pitić, entitled ‘The Challenges of the Digital Age’.

The presentation was devoted to trends in the global economy and how the education system can be adapted to the requirements of the global market. We have already hosted a number of lecturers from the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration, and both the students and the teachers were more than glad to listen to yet another distinguished lecturer.

Digital technology and the economy

The eager students were captivated by the interesting topics discussed during the presentation. Which competencies are needed today by modern economists in order to successfully manage their business? How is AliExpress developing in the global world? When will we have flying cars? These were just some of the thought-provoking discussions aimed at preparing Savremena’s students for all the challenges they may face in their future academic and professional development.

Savremena prepares you for the future

Nowadays, it is difficult to assess the needs of the economy in the future, because technical and technological changes are intense. Products come and go quickly. Intensive changes require constant learning and adjustment. International School Savremena understands the greatest educational challenges and strives to incorporate as many opportunities for creative learning as possible.

We teach students how to use information, distinguish between important data, make decisions according to norms, standards and morality, as well as how to be creative and flexible in order to best adapt to future challenges.

Contemporary in any sense of the word, our school offers functional knowledge and quality preparation for tertiary education in Serbia and abroad. Implementing modern and creative teaching in the classroom, where the teachers’ pedagogy and students’ performance are aligned with the highest academic standards for the high-school finals, our school develops linguistic, mathematical, scientific, artistic, cultural, technical and ICT competence, which is a prerequisite for further education and professional development. Teaching is supported by the interactive whiteboards and educational software, whereas practice exercises research and critical thinking.
