School stories

Savremena’s sports team accomplished high rankings and notable results at the city swimming competition, which took place on 6 October at the 11 April Sports Centre.

Our student Tara Ćulibrk won a silver medal and qualified for the state competition; Teodora Mitrić took the 5th place in the overall rankings, while Petar Stanković finished second in his group despite fierce competition.

SG Students Swimming contest

This year, the team was strengthened by the participation of new students, who joined our more experienced swimmers in presenting ISS. Tara Ćulibrk, Teodora Mitrić, Ljubica Vojinović, Petar Stanković, Mateja Čavić, Katarina Matijašević, Anđela Adžić and Jovana Janković showed a great interest in this sport, and proved the importance of mutual support among teammates.

It is a fact that Savremena’s team includes professional young swimmers; however,  this level of achievement at the team level would not have been possible without the hard work centred around the PE lessons, recognised and organised by their teacher Stefan Radojičić.

We congratulate Savremena’ students on their commitment and their result, and we believe that they will continue to excel at sporting events, fostering team spirit and healthy commitment to athletic excellence.
